Tenant caught in possession of cannabis - blames Landlord!

A tenant found in possession of drugs initially tried to pin the blame on his landlord.
Police found £2,000 worth of cannabis in the loft of Timothy McComb’s flat in Leeds last July. Leeds Crown Court heard the cannabis was found in ten bags which had McComb’s fingerprints on it. He was arrested a week later at his mother’s home and was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, McComb told officers his landlord had ordered him to store cannabis in the loft and had threatened him with violence.
However, McComb was arrested again on February 28 this year at a different address after neighbours reported items thrown from a tower block.

McComb was in possession of a knife and a ballbearing gun when police arrived at the flat and officers had to use a taser to restrain him. He was under the influence of cannabis at the time of the incident and has been in prison on remand since.
He pleaded guilty possession of cannabis with intent to supply, three offences of possessing cannabis, threatening behaviour and criminal damage.

He was made the subject of a 12-month community and drug rehabilitation requirement order. Judge James Spencer, QC, said: “That will give you the encouragement that you will need if you are going to break this drugs habit
